This year we are looking for one year in industry student to join our e-learning production and development group in Malvern for a one-year placement.

Working from home for part of the placement
Full time, 37.5 hours per week with flexi-time
Start date beginning of August 2021

During the placement you will be part of a development team and help with the ongoing project work, in addition to this you will be assigned an individual project to be completed
over the year with us.
This year’s project for e-learning production and development is based in a cross-functional team between Customer Technical and Application Support (CTAS) and Research & Development (R&D).
From our Malvern office you will support the production and development of e-learning courses for multiple products. We have ongoing projects to transfer face-to-face training for users and service engineers into on-line e-learning packages. You will be involved in course design, development of materials, video and image capture, creation of bespoke user interactions, associated documentation and production of the e-learning course itself. You will work alongside technology experts, capturing and transferring their knowledge. In addition to contributing to ongoing projects, you will be assigned a complete course to develop and produce.
As part of your role we also ask the year in industry placement students to be STEM Ambassadors for the company, lead on STEM activities and represent Malvern Panalytical at STEM events throughout the year.

The CTAS department consists of over one hundred scientists and over one hundred service personnel globally. This team manages the customer experience of the world-leading equipment developed in R&D, enabling users to make meaningful measurements with confidence.
The R&D department consists of over two hundred scientists and engineers covering all STEM disciplines. We work closely together in cross discipline teams following agile methodologies with a focus on customer centric design. In normal times we would invite candidates to our offices for an interview and a tour but depending on the restrictions it is likely that the interviews will need to be done remotely this year.
Since March much of the Customer Support and R&D teams have been working from home for part or all of their time and we expect this flexibility to continue once the Covid restrictions have eased.
Depending on the role there may be the option to work from home for part of the placement, but we would still expect you to be based with-in driving distance of the office and available to attend at short notice if needed. Some roles will require lab work and more time in the office than others, please discuss this during the interview process.
