About this position:

Do you have a proven track record in sales in a B2B environment? Are you looking for a position in which you can build and strengthen long-term business relationships with customers? In this role you will be responsible for the achievement of Pharma and Food’s targets for orders and sales. You will maximize financial performance within your defined territory of UK South East by sales of assigned Malvern Panalytical products, services and solutions, ‘winning the right way’ in line with our Code of Business Ethics. You will be home-based, within easy reach of Cambridge and London.

 

What are your responsibilities?

 

  • Achieve sales target for the Pharma and Food sector within your defined territory;

  • Give customers insight into the added value of our solutions and services;

  • Translate customer pains/needs into a value-added solution proposal, monitor the follow-up of quotation and revise if necessary;

  • Negotiate with customers and/or agents on the released quotation and close a deal;

  • Conduct demonstrations, attend seminars and exhibitions, and promote the professional image of Malvern Panalytical at all times.

 

What do you need to be successful in this role?

 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and customers at all levels;

  • BSc/MSc/PhD degree in chemistry, physics or materials science;

  • Wide knowledge and understanding of the academia and industrial equipment markets;

  •  B2B sales experience;

  • Experience of dealer or distributor management.
